Over the past two years Huntingdonshire District Council has received increased reports of dogs attacking other animals across the district. This is reflected nationally.
We are proposing an additional requirement to the current Public Space Protection Order (Dog Control) that covers the district and welcome your feedback.
The new proposed requirement is:
Dogs to be under control and not causing alarm or distress
On any land to which this Order applies, a person in charge of a dog(s) shall be guilty of an offence if, at any time, the dog in their charge (responsible for) causes alarm or distress, acts in an aggressive manner or attacks another animal.
