Listed below are some of the opportunities available to sports clubs and organisations and their coaches and volunteers:
Sport England
Sport England is currently developing new funding programmes in line with its new strategy, Towards an Active Nation [PDF, size unavailable].
As a result, only the Small Grants fund is available at the moment. This programme uses Lottery funding to make awards of between £300 and £10,000 to not-for-profit organisations to help more people take part in sport. Only sports recognised by Sport England can qualify for these grants.

Awards for All
Awards for All is a Lottery grants programme. It offers grants of between £300 and £10,000 to community groups and projects that improve health, education and the environment.

Cash 4 Clubs
Sports clubs that are registered with their national governing body or local authority can apply for grants of up to £1,000 through the Cash 4 Clubs grants scheme.

Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Scheme
Clubs registered as CASCs with HM Revenue and Customs can receive certain financial benefits, including business rates and corporation tax relief and the ability to claim gift aid on donations made via JustGiving.

Torch Trophy Trust
The Torch Trophy Trust offers bursaries of up to £1,000 to help volunteers who want to improve their skills as coaches or officials but can’t do so without funding.
