Join the Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve

The Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve raise funds, promote the reserve, run events and help with conservation work. You can show your support and contribute to the reserve’s future by becoming a member of the Friends. Membership is just £8 for a family or £4 for an individual.

You can pick up a membership leaflet from the Visitors' Centre or download a copy from the Paxton Pits website.

Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to get some fresh air, meet new friends and learn new skills while aiding conservation. You can get involved with a wide variety of tasks such as vegetation clearing and path maintenance. You will need to be reasonably fit and prepared to get wet and muddy!

If you're interested in wildlife, Paxton Pits' Wildlife Monitoring Group carries out surveys around the reserve of flora and fauna throughout the spring, summer and autumn. View the Wildlife Monitoring Group's programme for more information.

Volunteers are also needed to help organise and publicise events, lead guided walks and fundraise for projects on the reserve. Please contact the rangers for more information.
