The One Leisure Active Lifestyles team works closely with schools across the district to help promote sport.

How we can help

We can provide various levels of support to cater for your school’s needs and to benefit the pupils’ experiences and learning. Some of the opportunities we offer include:

Sports days

We can organise both traditional sports days with running, jumping and throwing events or alternative sports days with sporting challenges such as hockey dribbles, golf putting, tennis shots etc. These can be full day events, half days or just a couple of hours.

Multi-sports days

We can provide a variety of sports tasters, courses and clubs to give children the chance to try out different sports within the school environment. The children rotate around a set number of activities to give them all a try. We offer a wide variety of sports, including cricket, volleyball, tennis, handball, tri-golf, boccia, athletics and dodgeball. We have experience and skills in the majority of sports that a school may choose. These can be either full or half day events.

Multi-sports and health promotion days

These educational events can be designed to include a variety of elements of health promotion and the importance of physical activity. This is demonstrated through healthy lifestyles games and fun interactive talks. These can be full or half day events.

Active Lifestyles workshops

Members of the team can come into the classroom and provide information about the importance of physical activity as a lifestyle choice. We can accommodate busy timetables by making sessions anything from 30 minutes right up to a half-day workshop.
