Cambridge City Council has six re-deployable CCTV (RCCTV) cameras which may be deployed anywhere in Cambridge city. You can read more about the RCCTV cameras, including the criteria for and how to apply for them in the RCCTV guidelines [PDF, 76Kb].
Please note supporting evidence, including police incident numbers and crime references are required and so we recommend that you contact your Councillor or your local police team to assist you with the application.
If you would like to apply for the RCCTV cameras, please complete the application form [DOCX, 38Kb] and email it to asbsection@cambridge.gov.uk.
If you have any questions about RCCTV or would like a hard copy of the application form sent out to you, please call 01223 457950.
All CCTV cameras, including the RCCTV cameras are operated as a shared service with Huntingdonshire District Council and are run from Huntingdon.
The CCTV team’s aim is to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour, provide residents and businesses with protection and make the city a safer place to live, work and visit.
